Build an athleisure capsule by choosing a small group of pieces that work with your real week. Start with what you already wear, pick a colour direction and add only the items that create useful outfit combinations.

Start with your week, not a fixed number of pieces

Write down where your clothes need to take you: studio sessions, working from home, errands, travelling or relaxed weekends. Then consider your laundry routine. Your capsule does not need to match someone else’s item count.

Separate the activities that have specific clothing requirements from the occasions when you are dressing for personal style. A comfortable everyday outfit does not automatically meet the needs of every workout.

Choose a colour direction

One approach is to build around a dark neutral, add a lighter neutral and choose an accent colour. Another is to stay within a tonal palette. Lay out the pieces you own and see which combinations you would actually wear before choosing another colour.

Give each piece a clear role

  • A fitted bottom: compare the rise, pockets and length of your leggings.
  • A relaxed bottom: consider whether a looser silhouette fills a gap in your everyday outfits.
  • A base layer: choose a top that works with more than one bottom.
  • An activity-specific piece: select a sports bra according to the product’s fit and support details.
  • An outer layer: use a jacket or pullover to change the shape and coverage of an outfit.

Test combinations before adding more

Try each proposed new piece with two things you already own. Consider the proportions together: a longer top with fitted leggings, a shorter layer with a higher waistband, or a relaxed top with a more streamlined bottom. These are styling options, not rules.

Photograph the combinations you like. A few saved outfits can be more useful on a busy morning than another purchase you have not worked into your wardrobe.

Check fit and care before deciding

Compare your measurements with the size chart and read the individual product description. Check the care instructions too, so the new item fits the way you look after your clothes.
